Hock: How Dangerous is AirSoft?

Hock Hockheim's blog post of May 5 discusses the recommendation to train with airsoft using full protective gear, and why he thinks it's a bad idea.
Murry warns that any airsoft must be trained with the full suit and helmet to be safe. I hate to hear this because these types of paranoid standards start limiting the easy use of these training guns. Citizens will still wrap a towel around their neck and don curved sun glasses and have a blast shooting each other in real environs. Great skills and experience are developed with minimum effort. Police on the other hand, will be forced to deck out like a spaceman in official sessions with such anal controls that very little may be accomplished in the end.

Read it.
