McKinley said she asked the dispatcher, "I've got two guns in my hand -- is it OK to shoot him if he comes in this door? I'm here by myself with my infant baby, can I please get a dispatcher out here immediately?""I can't tell you that you can do that but you do what you have to do to protect your baby," the dispatcher said.The 911 conversation lasted for 21 minutes. Then the door gave in."I waited till he got in the door. They said I couldn't shoot him until he was inside the house. So I waited until he got in the door and then I shot him," McKinley told KFOR.

I saw this story and the woman did the right thing. Heart wrenching story of the woman's husband too who had just died. Hopefully she can get on with her life.
When it comes to protecting your kids you do what you have too. I wonder if she shot him with both guns or just one though.
I don't envy the position that woman was in. That would be hard for anyone, martial artist or no.
I was thrilled when I saw this. This girl has a calmness of mind that is highly admirable. Don't get me wrong, the whole thing is sad that she even had to do it. But thankfully she had the heart and mind to do what needed to be done! I applaud this mother! Her husband would be proud.

I also hope she can reclaim her life and move on with her child.
