The Double Lapel Grab

In many ways, one of the dumbest (unless one is a Judoka or Jujutsua) moves one would use to initiate a serious attack, the lapel grab is very common.
It is common because it's used to intimidate and control a smaller person that probably would't fight back. In a way, this is an advantage for the "victim"," because the attacker doesn't expect resistance at all.

This Fightingarts.com scenario and counter is excellent, and superbly written. Please print it and give it a try in training. This is what we're working on now, so it's just what the doctor ordered! Click the link and enjoy!
