I never cease to be amazed at the innovative ideas that Rob at Combat Trainer comes up with – check out his latest - Slosh Pipe Carries, or click the video to head over and watch.
This looks very useful as it is conditioning your abs by tensing them at multiple angles & directions. Same as when grappling. Reminds me of the piggy back sparring that I did with friends back in the day. Really got the abs working.
A lot of these exercises aren't really innovations. They've been around the fight fitness world for some time.
For example, the guys at the Crucible have been using the water pipe, the tractor tire, and others for years. Volume 3 of "Kelly McCann's High-Risk Environment Training" DVD set has an introduction to the Crucible's fitness regimen. Definitely not a program for beginners!
Great info Craig. I don't know that he's saying that they're new, but many of his training methods for combat athletes are new to me. If you have more, please share!

Piggy back is a great comparison. I'd love to try this sometime. Check out the CombatTrainer.com site and let me know what you think. Great ideas!
Thanks for the comment!
