Firefighters and gunfighting

This is for you, Mike! Read the whole thing.
Several weeks ago there was an incident in Tacoma Washington where a firefighter was almost shot during a rescue. The Fire Department responded to a structure fire. The crews went in and during their primary search (a rapid search looking for anyone who might still be alive and savable) they found a female and a male victim. As they were carrying the victims out the female victim put a gun to one fire fighter’s head and pulled the trigger repeatedly. The other fire fighter saw this and wrestled the gun from her. It turns out that the gun was empty. The male victim they carried out was already dead from gunshot wounds.
