I have used it to good effect before, but never on an animal. I was jogging through almond orchards and was chased by three farm dogs. I realized I could not outrun them, and stopped, stood my ground, and let out a huge ki-ai martial yell.<br /> The dogs stopped dead in their tracks and ran the other way.
